Over the years we have used many different brands of essential oils.
In fact, both of us have also sold essential oils for a very popular oil company. We know how powerful essential oils are and how they have been used to promote better overall health when used correctly. After reading this article you will understand why we choose Plant Therapy essential oils at Wellness Twins.
There are many different brands of oils out there, and as many and more confused people trying to wonder why one brand may be better than the other brand. I wasn’t satisfied selling essential oils for the company I chose because many people, MANY sick people who wanted to use the oils simply could not afford them. I knew that I knew that there had to be oils, HIGH quality oils ( I am very picky ) out there that were also affordable. Thus began my countless hours of researching.
When it comes to your health and well being it is vitally important to find an honest company with high integrity and impeccable quality. The cherry on top? Prices that are attainable. We believe Plant Therapy goes above and beyond when it comes to these criteria.
What WOWS Me When It Comes To Choosing A Brand Of Essential Oils!
- Strict standards of quality
- Do they know everything about the farmer, distiller, and supplier?
- Does the company carefully choose the country of origin, research the weather conditions, time of day and year of harvest?
- Does the company have knowledge on “chemo types” which greatly affect the composition of the plant and thereby the oil? What do I mean by “chemotype”? These essential oil chemotypes are extracted from plants that share the same genus and species, however, the thing that sets them apart is the internal composition not the external. You can have 2 peppermint plants but both are grown in different regions with different weather conditions and harvested at completely different times. The plants look the same on the external, but internally speaking, they are different. The phenol content of the plant is just one such example.
- The kind of testing used. Do they do third party testing using Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS)? This shows not only the quality of the oil but what is in the oil as well? Contaminants and adulterants will show up on this test. Are these test results available to the consumer? Is chiral analysis used when needed to determine between a natural constituent or a synthetic addition? Are the oils organoleptically tested by an expert aromatherapist? These things matter and are of great importance when it comes to finding a superior quality oil. After all, we are talking about YOUR health.
- FREE SHIPPING
- Affordable prices. Don’t believe the lie that unless it is expensive it can’t be good quality. Some oils are very expensive because 6 or more people have to get a cut off of that one bottle you just bought. I didn’t just research for countless hours to find an affordable oil, but to find an affordable oil that does not compromise in quality WHATSOEVER! Those that know me can attest to the fact that I am very picky and probably drive many companies crazy when I contact them as one serious question queen asking them to cough up verification and certificates of analysis, and what not! So……….affordability and quality should go hand in hand.
- Excellent customer service, THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t stand it when the only way to contact the company is via email and then you have to wait, and wait, and wait for a response! I want a phone number so I can talk to a real live person! It also helps if the people answering the phones know their stuff.
- All their oils are guaranteed 100% Pure and undiluted!
- They have large selection of ORGANIC oils
- The botanical name is also on the bottle of oil so as to know what you are really getting in that bottle!
Who Fits The Bill? PLANT THERAPY!

They are not some huge corporation but a family owned business that learned how to do things right. Impressive. Chris the founder of Plant Therapy makes this statement on his website, “Our ultimate goal is not to be the largest essential oil company; it is to positively impact the lives of as many people as humanly possible. Ultimately, I feel this is possible only by providing our customers with an exceptional experience that keeps them coming back. By selling such a high-quality product at an affordable price, we not only positively affect the lives of our customers, it also gives us the financial means by which we can help those NOTEwho are less fortunate to live a happier, healthier, and more productive life.”
Here’s what I really love, Plant Therapy has added world renowned aromatherapist Robert Tisserand to their team. This is one of the reasons why I said this family owned business is doing things the right way. Robert is an expert in aromatherapy and has also helped Plant Therapy develop their “Kid safe” line of oils as well. 🙂
Before Plant Therapy buys any raw materials from their suppliers such as seeds, stems, flowers, roots, bark, or leaves the company scrutinizes the background of the supplier, their reputation, how committed they are to quality and to the industry. They must meet or exceed these standards before the oil is produced. Plant Therapy has high integrity.
BUYER BEWARE! Just What Is “Therapeutic Grade Anyway?!
Anytime you see an essential oil that is being advertised as “THERAPEUTIC GRADE” that is a red flag! Why? Therapeutic grade is just a marketing term, anyone can use it, ANYONE. MLM companies especially LOVE to use this term to talk up their oils and say that is the reason for the high prices. Not true. Remember, at least 6-7 people have to make money on that one single bottle of oil you just bought and that is the real reason why it is so high priced. Therapeutic sounds good, but what does it mean? I mean after all, there is NO organization that oversees the quality of essential oils, and there is no third party grading, or certification of essential oils, none, zero, zippo, nada.
Instead of a term that anyone can use, here’s what you do want to look for: test results verifying the quality of the oils that are accessible to the public. There are some big wig companies out there that boast of all the testing done on their oils and have yet to actually disclose the results. They don’t even have a certificate of analysis to view if you just so wanted to see one.
Plant Therapy Knows Oils
It is nice to know that when you call Plant Therapy and have questions about your oils, they will have answers. It helps knowing that Robert Tisserland, world renown expert aromatherapist is on their team and consults with them.
I have asked one basic question a number of times to people who sell oils just to see if they even know what they are talking about. This is the question: Does your frankincense oil have high boswellic acid content? Either they have no clue or they will tell you, “yes it does.” The answer is simply that frankincense RESIN has boswellic acid, but not the oil. Boswellic acids have to high of a molecular weight and they are to non-volatile to go through steam distillation. Yet, you will hear it said by people that sell oils mlm that their frankincense oil has significant levels of boswellic acid”, this is simply not possible, a false claim. Be careful that you are not mislead.
Plant Therapy has quite the impressive line of oils to choose from. I love their gift sets. They have single oils, synergy blends, carrier oils and more, so much more. It’s fun shopping for oils because I can actually afford these and the shipping is on them 🙂 Among my favorites are ……….. The 7&7 set, Top 14 Synergies Set, Wellness set, and Top 3 Singles Set.
There are also Kid Safe Sets. Finally a place you can get safe and effective oils with kids safety in mind. They also sell multiple diffusers for great prices. Many have reported great results using these diffusers while their children are sleeping or in helping to get them to sleep 🙂
We have some favorite single oils we use in my own family.
One is copaiba, I have an article here for you to read if you want to learn about this powerful oil. Another HUGE favorite is frankincense. Oh how I love this oil! See here for the reason why 🙂 Lemon is a favorite as well. We like to add it to our smoothies for it’s antioxidant properties. For more on our favorites, go here 🙂
