Can’t Afford Organic Produce?? Here Is the Next Best Thing!
Obviously buying organic produce is always the best. However, that being said, it’s not always in everyone’s budget to do so.
So what to do?
Choose produce from the CLEAN 15 list,
wash well and try to eat less from the DIRTY DOZEN list. 🙂
CLEAN 15:
(least likely to have pesticide residue)
Avocados
Frozen sweet peas
Papaya
Cantalope
Cabbage
Sweet Corn ( GMO Free )
Onions
Kiwi
Cauliflower
Mangoes
Pineapple
Asparagus
Eggplant
Honeydew Melon
Grapefruit
Dirty Dozen:
( most likely to have pesticide residue)
Apples
Celery
Cherry Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Grapes
Nectarines
Peaches
Potatoes
Cherries
Spinach
Strawberries
Sweet Bell Peppers
Pears
Tomatoes
Remember that taking baby steps is still better than taking no steps at all.
Just getting more vegetables into your daily diet is already getting on the right track. 🙂
Eating vegetables is much better
than eating junk and processed foods, even if the vegetables are not always organic.
