My Favorite Alkalizing Green Smoothie Recipe

one  of the  best ways to start your day is with a highly alkalizing drink ???
There are a few ways to do this.
You’ve probably heard of drinking warm lemon water upon rising,which is great!! But how about an alkalizing, energizing  breakfast to boot too??
Well this morning I am going to share with you the smoothie recipe I make myself every day for my breakfast.  It is so refreshing, delicious and super nutritious!!

Most people’s diet are highly acidic. Everything  is mostly cooked and acid forming, unless of course its raw vegetables and fruits.
Meat, sugar,dairy, grains and coffee are highly acid forming . Over time too much acid in the body starts to promote disease  and  cause numerous other health issues. It is so beneficial  to get in those raw foods wherever  possible and what a great way to start your day off by alkalizing your body first thing in the morning,right??!! So here’s my super easy favorite smoothie recipe (smile).

2 cups greens ( like spinach, kale, arugula or dark green romaine)
1-2 cups filtered water or organic  coconut milk (according to your preference on how thick you’d like it)
a few sprigs fresh cilantro
1/2 cucumber
1-2 stalks celery
1  avocado (for added creaminess and extra nutrition)
1/2 granny smith apple
1/4 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (The strawberries go very well with the greens and give a great flavor too!)
2-3 drops organic lemon essential oil or even better a small frozen lemon cut into 3 or 4 pieces (run under warm water for 20 seconds first so it is easier to cut)

2 drops organic sweet orange essential oil

optional: liquid stevia to taste or monk fruit sweetener ( if you desire a little extra sweetness)
optional: 1/4 teaspoon  organic ginger powder

Thoroughly blend all ingredients together in the  blender ,
drink up and enjoy!!

This is my favorite smoothie blender and it’s super affordable too and gets the job done!! Mine really gets a work out because I use it on a daily basis. You’ll want a good one if you plan on using it everyday.
