Yummy And Healthy Chicken Liver Pate

Ok…………………

 maybe you’re thinking, liver?!?!
Yes! Chicken liver pate! I love liver sausage and so of course I love  healthy liver pate as well! 🙂
Now, that being said, I do look for liver, (chicken liver in this case) that is organic.
I think this is particularly important when it comes to eating liver.
We know that  the liver is a filtering organ and that conventionally raised meat is well………………scary.
Conventionally raised animals are exposed to many chemicals, gmo’s, and toxins. So………let’s keep it organic 🙂

Liver is a nutrient dense superfood. It is a protein packed powerhouse with important vitamins and minerals. It’s a good source of iron, vitamin a, and b-12.  Gram for gram liver has more nutrients than any other food.

There are very few spreadables to put on crackers that taste as good as chicken liver pate.

Yummy And Healthy Chicken Liver Pate

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked chicken liver (I boil it in just a little water)

3 Tablespoons butter ( I use Organic Valley unsalted it has an incredible creamy taste and smell ) or Ghee for dairy free.

3 cloves garlic

1/2 medium onion

3 teaspoons nutritional yeast seasoning (candida safe)

1 teaspoon mineral rich sea salt

1 teaspoon sprinkle with Bragg’s 24 herbs and spices seasoning

****optional**** add fresh cilantro,  😛

Instructions:

  1. Put liver into a food processor and blend well till smooth.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse to blend.
  3. Put just a little butter on hands so as to make it easier to handle and scoop out pate and shape it into a mound and put on a plate to chill in the fridge for about 1 hour.
If you’d like your pate a little creamier ,add in 2-3 tablespoons chicken broth or stock into your processor and continue to pulse till it’s the texture you would like.
  4. Get some good gluten free crackers or corn chips like these and……………. ENJOY!!!!!!!

I can’t keep them long in my house .They are gone in no time. No kidding!!  🙂
