Quick And Crunchy 24 Hour Garlic Dill Pickles

Attention pickle lovers, this one’s for you!

These Crunchy 24 Hour Dill Pickles can be made year round, not just during garden season!
There is nothing better than getting those baby cukes from the garden but, that’s not always possible.
In my case I just could not keep these in the house, we are  major pickle lovers 🙂

One day as I was shopping at one of my favorite grocery stores,
I saw these gorgeous pickle worthy cucumbers and thought “ why not? ”
They were organic and were a fair price.
I didn’t like the thought of waiting till next summer to make more of these delicious pickles.
I knew that to buy pickles that were actually healthy for you it can get quite pricey.

I love that these are crunchy, quick and easy to make.
I also love that they are made with apple cider vinegar and REAL sea salt.

Remember to put these in the refrigerator after the 24 hours,
they have not not been heat processed and are not shelf stable.
They are good for a couple of months but do NOT last that long in my house.

Quick and Easy Crunchy 24 Hour Garlic and Dill Pickles

  • This will be the measurements for one jar

–  4 cloves crushed garlic

– a few sprigs fresh dill OR 1 tsp. dried organic dill weed

– 5 to 6 cucumbers depending on the size

– 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar ( get the acv with the “mother”)

– 1 quart filtered water ( see here for the only water we trust )

  1. Slice the cucumbers into spears or slices, I prefer slices.
  2. Place the cucumbers into jar tightly and allow about 1 inch space at top of jar.
  3. Add the crushed garlic, dill, salt, and vinegar.
  4. Take the quart of filtered water and pour into jar till pickles are completely covered,
put cap on and shake vigorously to mix all ingredients well.
  5. Set jar on counter or table away from direct sunlight for 24 hours.
  6. After 24 hours, put pickles into refrigerator.
  7. Enjoy!

These Quick and Crunchy 24 Hour Dill Pickles are so easy to make and taste so incredible you will never want to buy store bought pickles again!  I’m not kidding.  They  end up costing roughly about 2 dollars a jar.  That works for me.
